Talia has produced/written/directed 9 dramatic shorts (and Aerial Artistry, an aerial dance video commission). They have played at various film festivals and some have held licensing agreements with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC TV).
The Dancer
The Dancer is the story of an elderly woman who puts on her jewelry. Each treasured piece brings a reminder of the life she once had, filled with ballet, love, freedom and joy. Her current reality fades and she is renewed in the world of her past.

Lonely after his wife's death, Dan moves into a seniors' assisted living residence, where he meets Violet. Vivacious and full of life, Dan can't help but fall in love with her. This is something that Violet's family is not prepared to accept, however, and they do everything they can to keep them apart.

Tanya is a high school drama teacher, who loves her job, but hates her principal. He makes life miserable for her, finding fault with everything she does. While it is true that she has some difficulty with punctuality, she does so much for her students and the school that should make up for that one small flaw. However, for Mr. Baines, nothing else seems to matter. He haunts her every moment while she is at school, and even enters her dreams. Finally, Tanya and her fellow teachers, who have also suffered at his hands, come up with a plan to stop him. Unfortunately, nature intervenes and they don't have the satisfaction of having him face their accusations. It also doesn't stop him from haunting her from beyond the grave.

Intel is the story of a young woman who joined the army and became a dental hygienist. She decides that she is sick and tired of her job and would like to switch to the more exciting trade of intelligence officer. However, her family is not as supportive as she had hoped they would be, and Intel may not be what she expected it to be.
